I think most of us know about the current refugee issue especially what had happened to the Rohingya people, being a refugee is one of the choice that they have. I had been participated with some of UNCHR programme before, meeting the refugees, sharing their past memories are painful. Sometimes, we are too ignorant about these people including the old me but after getting to know more about them, I am lost, I can't imagine what happened if I am in their shoes.
June 20th, is World Refugee Day. It is a salute to the indomitable spirit and courage of the world’s refugees. World Refugee Day puts a human face to the refugee issue, that behind the numbers and statistics are real people with real stories and real dreams and desires for a life of safety.
Art For Grabs collaborates with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to commemorate World Refugee Day. Besides hosting 20 booths of arts and crafts by refugees, they also feature exhibitions, performances and forums by them. Come get to know them!
